The Borno Geographic Information Service (BOGIS) wishes to alert the public that any purchase or sale of land within the state without obtaining the Governor’s consent is a violation of the Land Use Act and is considered a criminal offense. The illegal subdivision of existing titles (Grants/Certificates of Occupancy) and the unauthorized design of layouts (both Customary and Statutory) into plots are rampant in various locations across the state, including: 1. Molai axis along Damboa/Biu Road 2. Moromti/Njimtilo along Kano Road 3. Chabbal/Limanti/Al-Ansar University along Gubio Road 4. Tungushe along Monguno Road 5. Gongulong Lawanti 6. Dusuman/Koshebe 7. Muna axis along Dikwa/Ngala Road 8. Kofa/Dalori along Bama Road 9. Gombole Road after Giwa Barracks These activities are being conducted by some land vendors, such as: 1. Reality Land Vendor 2. Hammab Land Vendor 3. A.A. Ajibest 4. Jigalta Land Vendor 5. Guarantee Land Vendor 6. M. Gana Properties and Estate Agents 7. Pro-Shelter Property Enterprises 8. Multe Global Ventures Ltd. 9. And others too numerous to mention. BOGIS strongly advice that the public engaging in any land transactions in these areas with the listed vendors, without the required consent, is at the individual’s risk and could results in severe legal repercussions, including the potential loss of resources.
